World Mental Health Day
Saturday 10th October 2020 marked World Mental Health Day, a global event promoting greater public awareness and understanding of mental health and mental illness.
In a recent survey of Bromley Well service users, 87% said their mental health has been negatively impacted by COVID-19. We have also seen a surge in referral numbers, including an unprecedented increase in referrals of clients with complex mental health needs, some of whom required crisis support. This year we are working harder than ever to ensure the people who turn to us receive the support they need.
At this time of lockdown and loss, staff from across BLG Mind and partner organisations came together to create a series of informal videos aimed at supporting mental wellbeing. We hope that by sharing our personal experiences, and offering the advice we have learned through our work in mental health, we will help others cope at this difficult time.
