Wincanton does it again for BLG Mind

Big-hearted staff from transport and logistics firm Wincanton have raised a whopping £2,000 in their latest fundraising drive for BLG Mind.

The team at the delivery and logistic firm’s Thameside depot in Greenwich raised the money through running a raffle. Previously, staff members have participated in fundraising walks, most recently a 14-mile hike along the North Downs Way, and competed in the infamous Tough Mudder to raise funds for our mental health services.

As well as fundraising for local mental health support, Wincanton Thameside is committed to supporting the mental health of its staff. Several staff members at the depot are qualified Mental Health First Aiders, and there is also a confidential email address staff can use if they are struggling mentally and would like support.

Gareth Snelling, Peer Support Worker for BLG Mind in Greenwich, said: “We are all really grateful for this incredibly generous donation which will go a long way for all of our members. It was also great to hear how Wincanton are looking after their staff’s mental health with things like walking groups, workshops and having Mental Health First Aiders on site. Thanks Wincanton!”
