A team of solicitors from local firm Grant Saw ran, walked or cycled 200km each in March to raise more than £1,000 for BLG Mind.
Throughout the month, 12 members of staff from across the South East London solicitors firm undertook the challenge, which involved running or cycling a minimum of 200km each, or walking 10,000 steps a day. The team raised more than £1,000 for our vital services in the process.
Grant Saw staff members Imelda Galvin and Ray Crudgington both ran over 200km. Daniel Cooper, Lauren Smith and Lisa Warner completed the challenge with a mix of walking and running. Charlotte Mandy successfully covered the distance by bike, while Jayne Lye, Maria Lati, Michael Tobin, Randeep Thethy, Saad Hameed and Simran Lalli walked a minimum of 10,000 steps per day.
Ray Crudgington, Managing Partner at Grant Saw, said: “The 200km challenge was testing and exhausting but well worth it. I would like to congratulate the team on completing this challenge, and to raise over £1,000 is brilliant. BLG Mind carry out vital work in the community and their efforts are even more important at this time. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported us and made a donation.”
BLG Mind Fundraising Manager Lucy Morrell commented: “Well done to the team for completing this very difficult challenge. We felt 100km last September was tough, so to increase the distance to 200km and complete this is very commendable. To raise over £1,000 is truly fantastic! We greatly appreciate Grant Saw’s ongoing support and look forward to the next challenge.”
Grant Saw, who chose BLG Mind as their Charity of the Year in May 2020, have now raised £2,358 of their £2,500 target. If you would like to support them, please visit their JustGiving page.
