Four staff members from local law firm Grant Saw are aiming to run 100 kilometres each during September to raise vital funds for us.
The team from the south-east London solicitors are hoping to raise £500 for BLG Mind, their chosen Charity of the Year, by 30 September.
Ray Crudgington, Imelda Galvin, Michael Pope and Michael Tobin plan to individually complete at least 100 kilometres in thirty days.
Matrimonial secretary Imelda said: “I am planning to start with a 5km jog as I ease myself back into things. This is a great challenge and I am delighted to be involved as we look to raise money for BLG Mind.”
Managing partner Ray Crudgington added: “BLG Mind is a fantastic charity and I’m delighted to get my running shoes on for them. Running through lockdown has been good for my own wellbeing and mental health. I’m going to try to discover a few new running routes in September during the Challenge!”
Earlier this year Grant Saw held a fundraising yoga event for BLG Mind, who they have chosen as their Charity of the Year 2020/21. The firm aims to raise a total of £2,500 for our mental health and dementia services over the next 12 months.
Lucy Morrell, Fundraising Manager at BLG Mind, commented: “We are hugely appreciative of the support of Grant Saw, and very impressed with their aim to run 100km in a month. To run over 60 miles in 30 days is a very challenging task, but we know how determined Grant Saw are!
“Many thanks to the Grant Saw team members for their fantastic efforts to support BLG Mind’s much-needed local services. We will be following their progress closely.”
