Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind has partnered with Bromley Well and Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid to support female survivors of domestic abuse who are experiencing common mental health problems.
The new pilot project will support the increasing number of women in Bromley approaching the Bromley Well service who have experienced domestic abuse, or survived abusive relationships, and are now experiencing complex thoughts, feelings and behaviours because of the trauma.
This pilot project is called Surviving Well, will run from October 2019 to June 2020, and is for any women 18 years or older, living in the London Borough of Bromley.
Women using the service can access a range of one-to-one and group-based support to help manage their mental wellbeing (stress, anxiety and depression) and recovery.
One-to-one support will be available in Penge and Orpington. Group support will be available from different locations across Bromley borough where women can connect with others with similar backgrounds and create their own support networks.
Women who think they would benefit from this service can contact the service directly or professionals can refer any women who could benefit:
