Who We Are

Lewisham Peer Support is a community-based service for adults with experience of mental health issues living in the borough of Lewisham. We are part of the Lewisham Community Wellbeing Service.

Supporting You

We run activity-based groups in the community (these are currently held online) to support your mental wellbeing and help you develop new skills and interests, make new friends in a social setting, and build confidence and self-esteem.

“I so look forward to the Arts and Crafts group. It’s been a real lifeline for me and has given me a social life again; friends to go out with after years of being stuck indoors.”

To join the Peer Support groups you will need to be referred to our service. Please download the referral form and eligibility criteria:

Supporting Others

If you are an adult with experience of mental health issues who is interested in contributing to your community and helping others, you might like to consider becoming a Peer Support Volunteer (PSV). PSVs receive full training and support to run activity groups in accessible community venues in Lewisham [please note: due to Covid-19 these are currently online]. PSVs will be trained in the use of media platforms and how to host groups online via Zoom. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please see the job description and application form below.
