Lewisham Dementia Support Hub is delivered by four organisations with many years of experience and expertise:
MindCare Dementia Support (part of Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind)
MindCare Dementia Support (part of Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind) has been providing specialist dementia support in the borough of Bromley for more than 25 years, helping people with dementia to live at home and in their local communities. MindCare is experienced in providing:
- Advice, information, coaching and workshops about living with dementia
- Specialist activity and advocacy groups for people diagnosed with dementia
- Respite breaks at home for carers
- Dementia exercise and wellbeing cafes.
Sydenham Garden is a unique wellbeing centre using its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people in their recovery from mental and physical ill-health in Lewisham.
Projects are focused on adult mental health and dementia and include gardening, creative arts, craft and cooking. Dementia activities and groups are based on Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), providing stimulation and engagement in an optimal learning and social environment.
Carers Lewisham provides a range of services including advice, information, emotional support, breaks, opportunities to meet other carers, relaxation days and wellbeing sessions, coping strategies specialist and support for carers.
Carers Lewisham is run by and for carers: many of our staff, trustees and volunteers are or have been carers. They support more than 2,500 carers from the age of eight and from a variety of backgrounds.
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust provides the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. Some 4,600 staff serve a local population of 1.3 million people in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon. It offers more than 230 services, including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. The Trust treats more than 45,000 patients every year.

Lewisham Council provides residents of Lewisham borough with health and social care support should they need help with everyday living. This can be as a result of an illness, a stay in hospital, a disability, or because they are getting older and need some support to carry on living independently.
The NHS South East London Clinical Commissioning Group
The NHS South East London Clinical Commissioning Group was set up in April 2020 and covers the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. It is responsible for planning, paying for and monitoring most of the health services in these boroughs. Its key aim is to ensure the 1.9 million people living in South East London experience the highest possible standard of care within the resources available.
