As part of the Community Mental Health Transformation work in Bromley BLG Mind are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to develop services to operate as a front-door to mental health support as well as a step-down support for people ready for discharge from secondary care.
This work aims to:
• Deliver support across both Primary and Secondary Care;
• Ensure there is no ‘wrong door’ into mental health support for those who need it and make it easier to access the right support at the right time;
• Provide support that focuses on both clinical and social needs;
• Work well as a multi-disciplinary team.
This is a new role requiring excellent leadership, management and partnership working skills. The successful candidate will be required to manage a team of voluntary sector staff and work closely with our partners at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and across the local mental health system.
You should have experience of managing services, supporting individuals and of working with people with mental health problems. You will be a key person in maintaining quality within service delivery and maintaining clear communication and representation with clinical teams and team leaders.
Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Staff benefits include a matched contribution pension scheme, 25 days’ holiday (pro-rata, rising with service), quality supervision and training opportunities.
BLG Mind offer flexibility for hybrid working (some days at home and some in the office) where this supports staff wellbeing and fits with the needs of clients and the charity. As a people-focused organisation, we expect all staff to spend regular time at their work base as part of these arrangements.
We recognise the importance of having a diverse and inclusive work force, and would therefore particularly welcome applications from the following, currently under-represented, groups:
• People from culturally diverse communities
• Young people
• Disabled people
• People with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities
BLG Mind is committed to meeting the reasonable adjustments of disabled people.
BLG Mind always welcomes applications from people with lived experience of mental health problems.
