Delivery of our services during the coronavirus outbreak

So much has changed recently, but we are continuing to respond to the needs of our service users across both mental health and dementia services.

We are offering lots of support and advice by telephone, and if you feel you would like to speak to someone please see below for the telephone number to call.

In addition to telephone and email support, some services are being offered face-to-face via video links and other technology. These details are also listed below.

Dementia Carers Support

These services are available to carers of people with dementia, offering coping strategies and advice.

Mental Wellbeing, Emotional & Social Support

These services:

  • help people manage their mental health and wellbeing during the outbreak by offering a listening ear, support and advice on coping strategies
  • help people connect to other sources of support and community resources

Bromley residents

Bromley Well

Bromley Recovery Works

Bromley Recovery Works consists of a Recovery College, Peer Support Group and Employment Support. All of Recovery Works’ services are still available, although adapted for lockdown. They are continuing to offer informal Mental Health Groups online during this time: see the Summer programme. Bromley Recovery College is continuing to offer online courses and groups at this time: see the Summer programme.

Lewisham residents

Lewisham Community Wellbeing

Lewisham Community Wellbeing supports adults in Lewisham to recover from mental ill health and stay well. They are continuing to provide 1:1 phone support including advice and guidance.

Greenwich residents

Mindline

Mindline offers telephone counselling for adults in Greenwich, providing a safe and confidential space to explore any difficulties you might be experiencing.

Mindline opening times: Monday to Friday: 10.30am–4.30pm and Tuesday to Friday evenings from 6pm–9pm. Since most of our counsellors are working remotely, please leave your details including your phone number and email address on the answerphone and our counsellors will call you back. Greenwich Counselling

Greenwich Peer support Workshops

Support for expectant or new Mothers and Fathers

Mindful Mums and Being Dad offer support to parents who are expecting a baby or are new to parenthood. This includes facilitated wellbeing and peer support sessions delivered online.

Peer Support Groups

Employment Support

We are continuing to provide help for people with mental health problems who are struggling to retain their jobs or are looking to return to work.

In Bromley, we are offering employment support through the Recovery Works service to anyone with mental health problems who wants to prepare for work or is concerned about keeping their job. Contact 020 8289 5020 / recovery.works@blgmind.org.uk.

Greenwich Information and support

Connecting Communities Alliance

Connecting Communities Alliance offers social support for residents of Greenwich. Services include advice, guidance and signposting in areas such as benefits, housing and accessing other services within the borough. Contact: 07742 407193 / Paul.Gadsdon@blgmind.org.uk.
