Respite at Home
Bromley MindCare Dementia Support, part of Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind, provides respite and activities at home to give family carers a break from caring. The support provided is individually tailored to the needs of the person with dementia and those who care for them.
MindCare always ensures the person with dementia is put first with care planned around their physical and emotional needs, based on their life history and interests.
The service allows carers to have some respite knowing their loved one is in safe hands. A trained MindCare professional will spend three hours with the person diagnosed with dementia, engaging them in stimulating and enjoyable activities, while the carer enjoys a some time away from caring.
Respite visits can be booked during the day, evening and occasionally overnight.
